When Martin Peters renovated his California backyard, he left one corner open—hoping to turn it into the ultimate outdoor entertaining space. A Shed That Opens to the Patio—and the Party

“We just really fell in love with the idea of a pub shed,” Martin shared. “We thought it would be nice to have it open right up onto our patio for a big outdoor room.”

Double Hawthorne doors open wide onto the patio, connecting the indoor space with the outdoor seating area. To complete the interior, Martin hired a contractor to add drywall and install a reclaimed wood accent wall for rustic charm. The shed was also wired for electricity, powering a mini-fridge, surround sound, lighting, and a mounted television.
