Tucked away in Jackson, Louisiana, this custom-built studio is turning heads for all the right reasons. The 14×18 TR-800 features an 8/12 roof pitch, a durable metal roof, and plenty of curb appeal. Built for Village Studios, a local media production company, it stands out—even on a creative campus.
From Materials to a Full Custom Build
The project began when the customer visited the Jackson, LA Home Depot for materials for a separate project. During the visit, they mentioned the need for a new studio building. That’s when Area Sales Manager April Austin stepped in to help.
Instead of sourcing materials piecemeal, April showed the customer how a custom Tuff Shed solution could save both time and money. Not only could the structure be built faster, but it also came in under budget—without sacrificing quality or style.
Inspired by Louisiana Roots
The design took cues from another building on the property: an old Cajun Acadian-style structure that currently serves as a bar and restaurant. To match the aesthetic, the new studio incorporates similar elements, creating a cohesive and unique look.
One standout detail is the use of treated wood joists instead of Tuff Shed’s standard galvanized steel joists. This choice was intentional—the customer wanted the flexibility to relocate the building in the future if needed.
Built for Creativity—and the Perfect View
Location was everything for this build. The studio sits right at the edge of a small cliff. Why? Because an amphitheater is planned for the area below. A large custom window on the back wall gives studio guests a clear view of future performances and events.
